According to the report, the global mono-material packaging market is projected to expand from USD 2.1 billion in 2025 to USD 3.9 billion by 2035, registering a CAGR of 6.3%, the highest during the forecast period. The transition from conventional, multi-material packaging towards mono-material PE and PP packaging, which is easier to sort and recycle, is picking up speed as demand for recyclable and circular packaging grows. A more stringent set of packaging-waste rules is driving brands and converters to reformulate packaging with recycled-content and around recyclable packages.

  • Asia Pacific has the largest demand as it has the most flexible-packaging manufacturing base, consumer population, and consumption of packaged food, personal care, and household products in the region. There is a huge demand for recyclable PE and PP in China's packaging industry and India's exploding packaged food industry.
